Busy week with September ramping business up again.  Monday was Small Business BC funding your small business presentation and Thursday and Friday we are covering two hot events both coming soon to fundfindr.tv!  Got an upcoming hot event, let us know at news@fundfindr.tv.

IIMA The Internet Marketing Conference is being held Thursday and Friday at the Coast Plaza Hotel and fundfindr is pleased to be a Bronze sponsor.  I think there are still some tickets available if you act fast.   Nice job by IIMA president John Hossack and team helping bring an event of this calibre to Vancouver as it has previously been offered in Helsinki, Barcelona and Stockholm.   Should be a great line-up of experts including keynote Eric. T. Peterson on Web Analytics, Yahoo’s Bob Page (I trust this is the right Bob Page not this one, Social Media Marketing Success Stories with Darren Barefoot and Julie Szabo, and our favourite Victoria Secret’s Jonghee Jo on Making Testing Sexy! Look for upcoming webcasts of the conference and maybe a few tweets during (follow fundfindr on Twitter) at fundfindr.tv!

New Ventures BC competitionSimultaneously, our fundfindr Media Services team is covering the excitement of the Start Up Rock Stars - Top 10 finalists competing in the Oral presentation of the New Ventures BC (NVBC) competition.  The finalists include Echoflex Solutions, Pure Lignin, Sound of Motion Technologies (way to go Vlad) and GR Building Materials who we videotaped at VANTEC (congrats to Geoff).   Video profiles of the Top 10 are coming to fundfindr.tv so stay tuned.  For more info, check ou the NVBC blog.

We caught up with Yahoo’s Martin Bryne, National Director of Search Marketing for Canada, recently and asked him to look into the near future from the Yahoo point of view. While Yahoo has been the subject of much press recently with on again, off again acquisition discussions with Microsoft and a losing battle with Google for Internet viewership and search engine market share, they certainly are still a major player and well positioned to provide our viewers with technology insights.

Tune into this exclusive interview by Reporter Shannon Kaplun and find out predictions on how mobile content will evolve and how accessible video technology has transformed independent content production.  Learn how your PC will become the new utility, more like a furnace than an entertainment centre, as focus moves to your TV, your car or even your clothing! Just ask Nintendo and anyone who owns the Wii and we’re sure they will agree with Martin. We caught up with Martin at the Massive Tech Show in Vancouver and you can see our webisode on Massive here .
